Microsoft has announced that support for Windows 10 will end on October 14, 2025. This means the system will no longer receive security updates, bug fixes, or technical support. While your computer may continue to run, it will become more vulnerable to viruses, hacking attempts, and performance issues over time.

When an operating system reaches its “end of life,” it becomes risky to use. Without updates, any new security flaws found by hackers will not be patched. This puts your files, passwords, and personal information at risk. That’s why it’s important to plan ahead and upgrade before the deadline.

Windows 11 is Microsoft’s latest operating system and comes with a modern design, better performance, and stronger built-in security. Features like Snap Layouts, Widgets, and Microsoft Teams integration are designed to improve your productivity. It’s also more energy-efficient, which helps laptops last longer on a single charge.

Not every older computer can run Windows 11. To qualify, your PC needs newer hardware and a security feature called TPM 2.0. You can check if your system meets the requirements by downloading the PC Health Check Tool from Microsoft’s website. If your PC isn’t compatible, you’ll need to either continue using Windows 10 until 2025 or consider buying a new device.

Upgrading to Windows 11 ensures your computer stays protected, performs well, and is compatible with future software and updates. Whether you’re a home user or running a small business, acting now can save you from major headaches down the road. Don’t wait until the last minute, start preparing for the change today.
