On Friday, October 17th, representatives from the Westmoreland and Alle-Kiski offices of PA CareerLink® attended the Southwestern Pennsylvania Healthcare Expo at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.

The event, a collaborative initiative among regional workforce investment boards, highlighted healthcare education providers and the many career pathways available within the healthcare industry. Hundreds of students from middle and high schools across Southwestern Pennsylvania participated, engaging with local employers and training providers to learn more about the region’s in-demand healthcare occupations.

Events such as the Southwestern Pennsylvania Healthcare Expo are vital to developing a strong and sustainable workforce. By connecting students with local career and education opportunities, these efforts help strengthen not only Westmoreland County’s talent pipeline but also the broader Southwestern Pennsylvania community.

As part of the Private Industry Council of Westmoreland/Fayette, Inc., PA CareerLink® is proud to support initiatives that foster career awareness, workforce readiness, and lifelong learning across our region.
