PA CareerLink® is excited to announce its upcoming PA CareerLink® Awareness Days, a series of events designed to connect job seekers with employers and provide crucial community services. Each event will offer a wealth of opportunities and resources, tailored to meet the diverse needs of individuals across Westmoreland and Fayette Counties.

On September 4th, PA CareerLink® Westmoreland County at Youngwood will host an impressive lineup of 30 employers from across the region. These employers span various fields and skill levels, offering job seekers numerous pathways to new career opportunities. In addition to meeting potential employers, attendees will have access to a range of partner organizations providing essential services such as:

  • Education: Information on educational programs and training resources.
  • Housing: Assistance with finding stable housing solutions.
  • Food Security: Support for addressing food shortages and accessing local food programs.

The following day, September 5th, PA CareerLink® Alle-Kiski will hold its own PA CareerLink® Awareness Day, featuring 20 employers from the Alle-Kiski area. This event will focus on expanding the workforce by connecting skilled job seekers with leading local businesses. Highlights of this event include:

  • Apprenticeships and Training: Information on apprenticeship programs and other training opportunities.
  • Health Screenings: For the first time, UPMC will offer free basic health screenings at the event, providing a valuable opportunity for attendees to check their health status.

Both PA CareerLink® Awareness Days are open to all and offer a valuable opportunity to improve your career prospects and access necessary services. Whether you’re looking for a new job, seeking training, or need support with basic needs, these events are here to help.
