Connellsville Township Head Start classrooms are celebrating the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel’s also known as Dr. Seuss, the author of “The Cat in the Hat” and other books.

Each day the week of March 4th-8th, is a day to honor the author’s books and characters.

The students wore silly socks for the book “Fox in Socks”.

The students also played with “oobleck” from the story “Barthlomew and the Oobleck”.

The students discussed if oobleck was a solid or a liquid…..or both.

This story also teaches us why and when we should say “I was wrong” and “I’m Sorry”.

The students will have other theme days such as hat day for the book “The Cat in the Hat” and wear animal print for the book “Put Me in the Zoo”.

Join us in wishing a very Happy Birthday to Dr. Seuss!
