The Private Industry Council of Westmoreland/Fayette, Inc. (PIC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing employment, education, training, and early childhood education services, has named Holly Peton as Chief Financial Officer.
Holly brings more than 30 years of progressive financial leadership experience across higher education, nonprofit, municipal government, healthcare, and private-sector environments. Most recently, she served as Vice President for Finance / Treasurer at Saint Vincent College, where she was responsible for financial operations for both the College and Seminary.
“We are excited to welcome Holly to our executive team,” said Shujuane L. Martin, CEO/President of PIC. “She brings not only extensive financial experience, but also the energy, judgment, and commitment to mission-driven work that will support the services we deliver to our communities.”
Holly previously served as Controller at PIC, giving her firsthand knowledge of the organization’s fiscal operations, grant compliance responsibilities, funder reporting, and program support needs. Her background also includes service as Business Manager at Geibel Catholic Junior-Senior High School and financial leadership roles in nonprofit, education, municipal, healthcare, and private-sector settings.
As Chief Financial Officer, Holly will manage the corporation’s financial operations, oversee financial planning and grant compliance, support fiscal reporting to leadership, the Board of Directors, and funders, and provide strategic financial guidance to advance PIC’s mission and objectives.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to return to PIC and work alongside a team dedicated to strengthening the communities we serve,” Holly said. “I look forward to supporting the financial stewardship, resources, and funding needed to sustain critical programming and services that improve quality of life throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania.”
Holly earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Carson-Newman College and a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Baltimore. Her experience in budgeting, forecasting, nonprofit fiscal operations, grant compliance, and financial reporting will support PIC’s continued focus on performance, accountability, compliance, and excellence in service delivery.
