The PIC KIDZ ZONE has been busy working toward reaching the stars not only with the children enrolled but with staff!

Keystone STARS is Pennsylvania’s Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS).    So, you may be thinking what does that mean?   This system looks at staff education, classroom/learning environment, including families and the community, and leadership and management.   In a Keystone Stars program you can expect the following:  a comfortable place where your child can explore and learn, children having fun together and being respectful to each other, happy cheerful environments, reading and talking between children and staff, a safe, healthy, and exciting place for your child to learn and grow.   In addition, staff who listen to and talk with children and families.   Staff who continue to learn new and exciting ways for your children to grow.

During the time since the PIC KIDZ ZONE opened, we had been working toward improving their star level and is happy to share that on October 16, 2024, they received a Star 2 designation through the Keystone Stars Quality Rating System. The staff and management will continue to work to increase the STAR level this year.

If you or someone you know is looking for childcare in Westmoreland County, please contact us at the PIC KIDZ ZONE, contact Debbie Parshall or Laura Rockwell at 724-836-2600 for more information or to enroll a child.
