The Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) Afterschool Enrichment Programs held their quarterly parent engagement events this past week at Monessen Elementary Center at the Monessen Family Center and R. K. Mellon Elementary School at the Ligonier YMCA.

During this event we had speakers from Saint Vincent Prevention Projects. Parents got the chance to experience a Mock Teen Bedroom and speak with the presenters about how to talk to their children about substance abuse.

Students were able to paint tile magnets and rocks that they found while playing outside.

Our parents and students both had a great time!

If anyone has any questions about our Afterschool Enrichment Programs, please reach out to Samantha Nicholson, Youth Programs Supervisor.
