To enhance our support for children who are enrolled at Head Start of Beaver County, the Mental Health and Disability team is introducing Bouncy, the Animatronic Service Dog, to our Beaver Falls Classrooms.  The Special Service Coordinators have been teaching weekly lessons to help children learn about resilience by breathing and having fun with their classroom Bouncy.  Before the holidays, the children will each have their own Bouncy to use throughout their day.  By incorporating Bouncy, we plan to help children learn to self-regulate and know that each child is special and important in their own way.  The staff also benefit by having an additional resource to help the children in our classrooms.  We look forward to seeing the success this program brings to these classrooms and others in the future.
