The Private Industry Council (PIC) is proud to announce the Valor to Value Program—a vital initiative designed to support military veterans and their spouses. This program provides a comprehensive suite of services to assist participants in securing stable, full-time employment while pursuing job training or conducting job searches. The Valor to Value Program offers critical support to veterans and their spouses residing in Westmoreland and Fayette Counties. Funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, the program provides up to $2,300 in supportive services, covering essential needs such as childcare, transportation, housing, work clothes, tools, utilities, and other work-related expenses.

CEO/President, Shujuane Martin states, “Supporting our veterans who bravely put their lives on the line for our us is not just a patriotic duty; it is a profound acknowledgment of their sacrifices, ensuring they receive the care, respect, and opportunities they deserve upon returning home.”

Participants will work closely with a dedicated Veteran Services Coordinator, who will assess individual barriers to employment and provide personalized assistance. In addition, veterans and their spouses will benefit from group mentoring sessions and peer-to-peer counseling, focusing on overcoming the unique challenges of transitioning from military service to civilian life. These valuable resources aim to help participants achieve their ultimate goal: securing family-sustaining, full-time employment.

The Valor to Value Program is open to honorably discharged veterans and their spouses who are unemployed or underemployed living in Westmoreland and Fayette Counties. With no income eligibility requirements, the program ensures access to supportive services for those who need it most, regardless of their current financial situation. Working with the PA CareerLink® and other programs that support veterans, the Valor to Value Program ensures that participants also have access to career development resources, job search assistance, and placement opportunities, further strengthening their path to long-term employment success.

Take the next step toward a brighter future today. Contact the Valor to Value Program and gain access to the resources you need to build a fulfilling civilian career.
