As Halloween creeps near in Beaver County, Trunk or Treats are popping up around the county to bring each community together. On Saturday 10/28, part of our Beaver County Child, Health, and Safety Team participated in the Trunk or Treat event in Beaver Falls, hosted by the Local Interagency Coordinating Council (LICC).
Head Start/Early Head Start was met by around 20 other agencies and individuals to bring Halloween spirit to the Beaver Falls community. Each participant had their own themed vehicle, ours being an M&M-theme. Our team wore colored, embossed shirts that matched the M&M characters and the decorations of our trunk.
We estimate that approximately 150 families came through – at least 5 of them being involved in our program, and many others who had been a part of our program years ago. This event was a great opportunity for families within the community who are already receiving services to network with one another, as well as provide new families with information about resources in the county.
