The Private Industry Council of Westmoreland/Fayette, Inc. (PIC) is proud to announce that they have received expansion funding in the amount of $640,000 for 64 slots in the Pre-K Counts Program. 16 slots make up a classroom and these have been added in the following locations:

Burchfield Elementary, serving the Shaler area School District, located at: 1800 Mount Royal Boulevard, Glenshaw, Pa.

Southside Elementary, serving South Side School District, located at: 4949 State Route 151, Hookstown, Pa.

Frock Childcare Learning Center, serving Mount Pleasant School District, located at: 107 Oak Street, Mount Pleasant, Pa.

Private Industry Council (PIC KIDZ ZONE), serving the Hempfield and Greensburg Salem School Districts, located at: 219 Donohoe Road, Greensburg, Pa.

Shujuane Martin, CEO/President of PIC stated, “We are excited to give more children and their families the opportunity to participate in this successful program.” The Private Industry Council has been providing Early Childhood Education programs since 1994. PIC offers high quality Pre-Kindergarten programs at NO COST for families who qualify. Federal Income Guidelines state that a family of 4 can make up to $83, 250 annually to be eligible.

PIC Teachers are certified in Early Childhood Education and our classrooms provide a safe, well-equipped learning environment with curriculum and education programming which is designed to help children prepare for kindergarten and to help their families support them as they transition to kindergarten.
