Spring is almost here and with that brings warmer days, flowers blooming, and Pre-K enrollment!   Our classrooms are in full swing for another successful year.

Pre-K Counts classrooms operate Monday-Friday, 6 hours a day, and typically follow the school district calendar.  We currently have 19 classrooms in 4 counties: Allegheny (Shaler Area School District and Penn Hills School District), Beaver (Central Valley School District and South Side School District), Fayette (Connellsville Area School District, Laurel Highlands, and Uniontown Area School District) and Westmoreland (Greater Latrobe School District, Southmoreland School District and our new location, PIC Kidz Zone located in our corporate office building).

All of our classrooms have certified teaching staff; provide breakfast and lunch daily; and are free to families that qualify.  We use a curriculum that help foster social and academic growth and chose teaching and learning activities that are best for each child.

One of PA Pre-K Counts’ goal is to ensure a smooth transition for children and parents from Pre-K Counts into Kindergarten.  Children learn Kindergarten readiness skills such as letter and number recognition, emerging literacy skills, and social skills.

For more information on Pre-K Counts, call 724-437-2590 or apply online at www.privateindustrycouncil.com.  You can also find us on Facebook at PA Pre-K Counts – PIC.
