Our staff would like to invite everyone to a very exciting event that will be happening at our local PA CareerLink® locations to celebrate National Workforce Development Month.

All three sites will be hosting the 3rd Annual Awareness Day event to celebrate what the CareerLink® does for our area. Each site will be hosting an event that will focus on our clients, providers, and the great employers we have in Westmoreland and Fayette Counties.

On August 31st the PA CareerLink® Alle-Kiski will be hosting a job fair featuring 11 employers from the surrounding area. The employers attending the event showcase the many industries the PA CareerLink® works with that offer a wide variety of positions targeting different skill levels.

On Wednesday September 13th, from 10am to 1pm, the PA CareerLink® Fayette County and PA CareerLink® Westmoreland County at Youngwood will be hosting job fairs at their centers, focusing on employers throughout the two counties.

The PA CareerLink® Fayette County event will have employers, PA CareerLink® partners, and other service providers from the County. Fayette County Head Start staff will be onsite to offer families and children services that qualify.

At the PA CareerLink® Westmoreland County at Youngwood, we are hoping to host our Awareness Day event outdoors, weather permitting, from 11am to 2pm on Wednesday September 13th. We will be hosting at least 30 employers and have around 10 providers from Westmoreland County.

Each PA CareerLink® offers resume development assistance, job placement services, funding to go back to school, training opportunities and more, all free of charge. Our staff is dedicated to developing and expanding the workforce in South West Pennsylvania. We are amazed and excited by the responses from employers and providers that will be attending the various Awareness Day events.

If you are interested in any additional information regarding this event, please call your local PA CareerLink® office today or follow along on social media to stay up to date on events, workshops, hot jobs and more!
