The Private Industry Council (PIC) was invited to attend a Douglas Education Center (DEC) Open House celebrating 25 years with Tom Savini’s Special Make-Up Effects Program on Thursday, November 14, 2024 (3:00 PM-7:00 PM). At this event, they were able to see the DEC campus to learn about DEC’s tuition/other costs, review financial aid options, and the application process. The staff in attendance were also able to tour the Skills Trades Programs including CDL and Heavy Equipment. Program participants from both PIC’s DADS MATTER and Youth Re-entry Programs have successfully completed the CDL Program and secured gainful employment in the transportation industry.
