For the 2018-2019 school year, the Private Industry Council of Westmoreland/Fayette, Inc. (PIC) implemented the Hatch® Early Learning technologies into all preschool 3 to 5 year old classrooms. PIC chose the Hatch® Pre-K Tablets and All-In-One Computers based upon the capabilities of the technology as well as Hatch’s experience providing educational technology in the early learning field for over three and a half decades. Within the school year, PIC saw growth and success not only with the children in the early childhood programs but also increased child documentation among instructors.

In July of 2019, the Private Industry Council was requested to participate in a case study conducted by Hatch® Early Learning. Instructors, Directors of the Beaver County Head Start/Early Head Start, Fayette County Head Start/Early Head Start and Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts, as well as PIC’s Vice President of Early Childhood and Instructional Technology Supervisor were interviewed to provide feedback on the implementation and impact of the Hatch® technology in the classrooms.

PIC is continuing its relationship with Hatch® Early Learning for the 2019-2020 school year and is excited to see the growth of its students and the impact these technologies will have for years to come.
